1. Introduction

Welcome to The Web Lab. By accessing our website (theweblab.net) or hiring our web design, full-stack development, e-commerce, or hosting management services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

2. Web Development Services & Scope

The Web Lab provides bespoke web design, custom web development, database architecture, front-end optimization, and technical maintenance. Specific project deliverables, milestone timelines, and technical constraints are outlined in each formal Project Scope Document agreed upon before commencement.

3. Quotations & Estimates

All online quotes and written proposals are valid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Changes to the project scope requested after quotation acceptance may result in adjusted timelines and revised cost estimates.

4. Project Confirmation & Deposits

Work begins upon receipt of the agreed initial deposit (typically 50% of the total project value) and receipt of necessary brand assets (logos, text content, media, API keys).

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate text copy, high-resolution imagery, and timely feedback during milestone reviews. The Web Lab is not responsible for project delays resulting from unsupplied materials or prolonged client feedback cycles.

6. Payment Terms

Final project deliverables, administrative dashboard credentials, and live production deployment occur upon full settlement of all outstanding milestone invoices.

7. Domain, Hosting & Third-Party Services

Third-party subscription fees (e.g. domain registrar renewals, cloud VPS servers, SMS gateways, payment gateway processing fees) are the responsibility of the client. The Web Lab provides configuration and management assistance.

8. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership

Upon receipt of 100% final payment, full intellectual property rights, database schemas, and custom source code developed specifically for the client are completely transferred to the client.

9. Warranty & Maintenance Support

All custom websites built by The Web Lab include complimentary bug-fixing and technical support according to the package terms (ranging from 30 to 90 days or 6 months post-deployment). Extended Website Care maintenance contracts are available thereafter.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Web Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party server outages, telecommunications failures, or unauthorized third-party access resulting from client-compromised passwords.

11. Changes to Terms

The Web Lab reserves the right to modify these terms as business practices or regulatory standards evolve. Revisions will be published on this page.
